I shot my first wedding in 2002, and I immediately fell in love with photographing people after seeing the impact that my work can make on peoples’ lives. Nearly ten years later, I credit my wife Loretta for bringing me to realize why I shoot weddings.
When we were engaged, Loretta expressed how imperative it was that her family and dearest friends be present to witness our marriage; she would have it no other way. Consequently, today my work is focused not only on photographing two people in love and the associated event, but also their relationships with the people who love them and have come to celebrate with them.
My commitment for each event is to leave my clients with a collection of unforgettable images that are classic, elegant, and most of all authentic. I strive for simplicity in my work — creating compositions that are uncluttered, yet dynamic.
Documenting a wedding is a unique experience every time, whether or not the location is new to me. The most interesting variables are my subjects, and I’m always excited to work with new people.
I look forward to documenting your celebration, and especially to being your friend.
