Living in Los Angeles, I often get the urge to escape the concrete jungle and do something different. When I flew up to San Jose to meet Joy and my long time friend Scott, we discussed several shoot locations — one of them being at the fabulous Chez TJ restaurant in Mountain View where Scott happens to be Executive Chef. The location is lovely, and the food looks amazing; I never ate there, but I was fortunate to enjoy a nice meal prepared by Scott at his home with some of their friends.
We also discussed downtown Santa Cruz, which would have been a nice playground for a shoot. I was more drawn to the idea of shooting along the coast, however, so I suggested we start there and make our way back. Turns out we never needed to do anything downtown, although I would have loved to do that as well.
If you ever find yourself in Mountain View with some time for dinner, be sure to make reservations at Chez TJ.
