Oahu North Shore Family Portraits – The Rochas

This past weekend, I had a couple of new experiences since moving to Hawaii — my first Oahu North Shore shrimp stand visit and shooting my first Oahu North Shore family portraits.

First off, if you’ve never been to a shrimp truck/stand/hut on the North Shore of Oahu, I strongly advise that you don’t arrive hungry. I waited an hour for my plate, and the three orders in front of me waited 20 minutes longer than I did. Sorry, but I won’t share my secret to getting shrimp faster at these spots. πŸ˜‰

After a late lunch, the thought of scouting locations pretty much went out the window. Fortunately, I already had a couple of places in mind.

This beautiful family was visiting from San Jose, CA. Thanks to Stacey — a mutual friend who got us connected, we hit it off immediately. It was a really fun session with Daphne and her family.

I must also say that Loretta did a fine job assisting me for the first time. πŸ™‚

UPDATE: See the Queensberry Press Album that I designed for this family.
